Cobra King Forged CB/MB 2018 — Key Features

• Combo Set Design — The 2018 King Forged irons combine cavity-back (CB) long irons (typically 4-6) with muscle-back (MB) short irons (7-PW). This gives a blend of forgiveness in the long irons and precision / shot shaping in the scoring irons. 

• Material & Forging — The heads are forged from carbon steel (1025 steel), using a 5-step forging process. 

• Weighting / Performance

  • They include tungsten inserts (in the toe and center) to help position the center of gravity (CG) closer to the face center. This helps with launching, forgiveness, and consistency. 

  • The long-iron CBs have a “muscle cavity” design to give softer feel and more forgiving mishits while still allowing control. 

  • Looks & Finish

    • Compact, player’s profile, especially in the MB irons. 

    • Diamondized Black Metal (DBM) finish — dark, satin/blackish, helps reduce glare, durable finish. 

    • Other Features

    • CNC-milled faces & grooves for precise spin and trajectory control. 

    • Equipped with Cobra Connect grips (Golf Pride Tour Velvet with sensors) for tracking stats via the Arccos system. 

    • Available in regular or stiff shafts (KBS $-Taper black PVD) in the stock set.

    Performance Characteristics Of Black KBS C Taper Shaft Limited Edition :

    • Lower trajectory + controlled spin: Compared to softer shafts, the C-Taper is stiff, especially in the tip, which tends to reduce loft and spin, giving a more penetrating ball flight. 

    • Crisp feel: Because of the firm tip section, the feedback (especially on solid strikes) tends to be sharp (less flex in the tip means less energy lost in that part).
